Modern Farm House, County Louth, Ireland
This house is for a young couple starting out on their farming adventure who desired a modern design take on the typical Irish farm house. Conceived as a modern interpretation of an Irish long house, it wraps and integrates open plan living accommodation on the ground floor with work space and farm store for processing cider with bedrooms on the first floor, in a skin of black charred larch cladding.
Wide corner views from the open plan living space pull the landscape into the building and offer open views over the orchard.
This house has received planning approval and is currently moving forward for construction.
