MIXED USE COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL DESIGN, PORTRUSH

This is a scheme for 13 new apartments over three floors with retail / commercial development on the ground floor addressing the street edge. The site infills a gap site that has remained derelict for over 10 years. It is a steeply sloping site raking down from Dunluce avenue with underground basement parking accessed via Eglinton Lane.

The two retail units on the ground floor are proposed to be a cafe and a high end shop unit. Above the retail units are 2 floors of apartments with a further rooftop penthouse level set back from the main building line. A mix of natural stonework, white render and timber cladding helps to break up the massing of the building and provides a modern insert into the town centre.

The project received planning permission in 2017 and is currently under construction with an estimated completion date early 2019.
