The client is keen to develop a sustainable modern extension to their existing home.
The design sees the introduction of a predominantly timber clad extension which opens up to the existing kitchen / dining area and provides additional living space on the ground floor with views out over countryside and toward slemish in the distance.
Internally the house will be fitted with insulated sliding panels which will close the extension down in the evening conserving heat and energy.
The materials used, such as the timber cladding, slate roof and highly insulated walls, will be sourced locally and be from sustainable sources.
