This project is for a 3000 sqft family house on a farm near Armagh.
The design sees the creation of a traditional main house to the front of the site accomodating a large living space, study area and bedrooms above. To the rear of the site a smaller scale element wraps around a rear access courtyard and opens up to the south and west elevations, connecting with the garden and terrace areas.
This private section of the house accommodates a large open plan kitchen, dining and living space which steps down the hillside to follow the countours of the site. The gable walls to the living areas have dramatic corner glazing to maximise the views and connection with outside.
